About PhotoGather
PhotoGather is for the bit after the holiday, party, wedding, birthday, or weekend away, when the good photos are hiding across a dozen phones and three group-chat threads.
Create an event, invite the people who were there, and let everyone choose what they actually want in the album. Take photos as normal, then add them when you have a minute. PhotoGather keeps the good shots in one place, so nobody has to chase links, download duplicates, or guess which version is finished.

Send feedbackPhotoGather does not give the app author access to your photos unless they are specifically invited to your event. Event photos are stored in the event owner's Google Drive, and PhotoGather works with the event album files and folders rather than browsing your whole Drive.
Attendees only see the photos shared into that event album inside PhotoGather. They do not get direct Google Drive access unless the owner publishes the album to selected people.
While an event is active, people can retract their own photos; owners can remove attendees, retract unsuitable photos, and manage any Google Drive access they have granted.
After publishing, album access is controlled by how the owner shares the Google Drive folder. PhotoGather is a temporary gathering place, not the permanent owner of your photos.

It is not trying to become another permanent photo album app. It helps the event owner gather everyone's best photos, shape them into one considered album, then publish that final album to the owner's chosen storage.
Add PhotoGather to your phone home screen so active events are easy to find later, without digging back through old group-chat messages or invite links.
Create an album before or after a holiday, party, wedding, birthday, or family day out. The event owner invites the attendees who may have taken useful photos.
Attendees add their own photos directly to the event album. They can review what is already there first, avoiding duplicates, near-identical shots, and random photo spam.
Each person can retract photos they added. The owner can also retract any photo from the album, so the final set has a bit of artistic control instead of becoming a dumping ground.
The event shows who is still choosing. When attendees are finished, they mark themselves done so the owner knows the album is ready to complete.
Completing the event changes Add Photos into Publish Album. Once published, that becomes Manage Album so the owner can share Google Drive access, download the final photos, save them elsewhere, reopen the event, or delete it from PhotoGather.
