About PhotoGather

One album, everyone's favourite shots.

PhotoGather is for the bit after the holiday, party, wedding, birthday, or weekend away, when the good photos are hiding across a dozen phones and three WhatsApp threads.

Create an event, invite the people who were there, and let everyone choose what they actually want to share. Take photos as normal, then add them to the album when you have a minute. No chasing, no duplicate downloads, no mystery zip folder called final-final-2.

Support

If PhotoGather saves you from the usual post-trip photo wrangling, you can support the time spent improving it. No pressure.

Feedback

If something feels clunky, confusing, or not quite right, I would genuinely rather hear about it than pretend it is fine.

How this works

PhotoGather is a temporary gathering place.

It is not trying to become another permanent photo album app. It helps the event owner gather everyone's best photos, shape them into one considered album, then publish that final album to the owner's chosen storage.

1

Create the event

Create an album before or after a holiday, party, wedding, birthday, or family day out. The event owner invites the people who may have taken useful photos.

2

Gather with judgement

Attendees add their own photos directly to the shared album. They can review what is already there first, avoiding duplicates, near-identical shots, and random photo spam.

3

Everyone keeps control

Each person can retract photos they added. The owner can also retract any photo from the album, so the final set has a bit of artistic control instead of becoming a dumping ground.

4

Finish choosing

The event shows who is still choosing. When attendees are finished, they mark themselves done so the owner knows the album is ready to complete.

5

Publish, then clear out

Completing the event changes Add Photos into Publish Album. The owner can share Google Drive access, download the final photos, or save them elsewhere. Once the owner has what they need, the event should be deleted from PhotoGather.
